In this I.T. age, it's difficult to not visit many
sites on the internet, surfing for interest. Many site developers
include pages that talk about themselves in a way that's self-complementary,
seemingly, just for the sake of it. My first thought was,
"why not a bit of fun, and do the same thing?"
Further thought led me to believe that, because I am solely
responsible for the development of the af-x® approach
and the education and training of it, any indication of the
"roundedness" of the life and career of this individual could,
indeed, be of interest to either prospective clients or prospective
trainees.
So I present here categories of experience OTHER THAN those
directly associated with af-x that may support that
indication.
Activities Undertaken And Practiced
Trained in (2nd Dan black belt) and instructed Goju-Ryu karate.
Studied veterinary public health and food inspection and worked
for the U.S. Dept of Agriculture and the Australian Dept of
Agriculture.
Trained in Leather Design and Artisanship (Florence, Italy)
and worked as master craftsman in training establishments.
Studied/trained in remedial and Swedish massage and practiced
as sports and remedial therapist.
Studied Zen Shiatsu and practiced as a therapist.
Studied music and played in various rock and blues bands;
1962 to 1988.
Studied computer-aided design and worked as cad-cam designer.
Studied sculpture; had several static and travelling exhibitions
in Australia, Europe and the U.S.
Activities Undertaken And Not Practiced
Studied (undergrad) psychology - not completed – because of
conscientious objection.
Studied rebirthing (to completion) - never practiced.
Studied Family and Relationship Therapy (Milan Systems) to
completion - never practiced.
